Moreng Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Moreng does not collect your YouTube account information, passwords, or payment information.

2. Information Used by the Extension

Moreng uses the YouTube transcript or captions visible to the user, or transcript text manually pasted by the user, to display the current sentence and explanation cards.

This information is used only to find and explain terms or phrases that match the current playback position.

3. Browser Storage

If you enter a Gemini API key, the key is stored in your browser storage and is not sent to a Moreng server.

Moreng may also store local settings, saved terms, and optional AI explanation cache data in your browser.

4. Optional AI Explanations

Moreng works by default with a local glossary database. If you choose to enable AI explanations and enter your own Gemini API key, selected sentence or term information may be sent directly to the Google Gemini API.

Gemini API usage and costs are billed according to your own Google API project. You can use Moreng without an API key.

Moreng's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Donations and Payments

Domestic bank-transfer donations are processed in the banking or Toss Bank transfer screen used by the donor. Ko-fi donations are processed by Ko-fi, PayPal, or the payment provider shown on the Ko-fi payment page.

Moreng MVP does not operate its own payment server and does not directly collect payment information.

Donations are optional. In the MVP, donating does not change the features available in Moreng.
